EETOP Communications (special report on the 20th) As the U.S. midterm elections enter the final two weeks, recent local polls show President Trump's approval rating has dropped to just over three in ten, the lowest during his two terms. Republicans are also facing difficulties, trailing Democrats by 12 percentage points in the "party preference" polls.
A poll released Monday (19th) by Reuters and Ipsos shows only 31% of respondents approve of Trump's performance in office. 68% of respondents are dissatisfied with his economic policies, including 37% who identify as Republican supporters.
A poll jointly conducted by The Washington Post and ABC News also shows Trump's approval rating stands at only 33%. 66% of respondents believe Trump uses the presidency for personal gain, including 34% of Republican supporters.
